Payroll Format with Gross Salary Amount

Just my small suggestion. I think if Hr.my can provide Gross Salary (Basic+Earning+Bonus) in the individual pay slip and overall payroll as well.

It’s much easier for us to capture the exact gross amount that we payout for each staff monthly.

  1. May I know why does the Gross Salary seem to exclude Deductions?

  2. May I know what use is it to show on payslip?

Hi Kap Chew,

  1. May I know why does the Gross Salary seem to exclude Deductions?
Because we need Gross Salary to fill up in LHDN’s E-PCB, E-KWSP and SOCSO and EIS contribution. All are require to fill up Employees’ Gross Income. Example (Gross Income x KWSP rate)

  2. May I know what use is it to show on payslip?
Easy for everyone to see the Gross Income (Basic+Earning+Bonus) before any statutory contribution and deduction. For example: Ali’s Monthly basic salary is RM1500, allowance RM500, Commision RM300, incentive RM200 and 1 month bonus RM1500. Based on the current pay slip will be shown as
    a. Basic RM1500
    b. Earning RM800
    c. Bonus RM1500
We have to manually total up all above. RM3800 (What the Employee’s salary is)
After that only we minus the statutory contribution and deduction to become Net Income.

Sorry that I am even more confused now.

  1. Why the Gross does not consider Deductions first? For instance, unpaid leave etc… How could you consider Gross if unpaid leave deduction is not deducted, and use it directly to calculate PCB etc?

  2. If you need to use e-PCB etc, obviously you don’t need the payroll feature of HR.my, why do you need the payslips to be generated for such purpose? Obviously the first generated payslip is useless without the final PCB or EPF etc?
