Payroll Cutoff Date

Hello everyone! I’m new to hr.my. I have a simple question. How do I manually look up a date for the payroll cut-off date? For example, our payroll dates are the 8th and 23rd of the month.

Example: December 24, 2022 - January 8, 2023

Because when I search for a date, it only returns results for the current month. Thank you.

Sorry, I don’t understand your use case. Why do you need to look up by a date?

Here in the Philippines, we do have a bi-month payroll every 15th and 30th of the month. In order to settle all the wages and claims, we implemented a date for attendance cut-off (7 days before the payroll date). I was asking if there is an option to choose from specific date to another specific date. Ex: December 24, 2022, to January 8, 2023. Thank you.

I only see a by Month generating of attendance.

Oh, you meant attendance, I thought you referred to payroll processing filtering.

Anyhow, for now only Monthly filtering is supported.

If I understand you correctly, you will need to filter by week?

If there’s Custom Date Range filter it would be helpful because most of the companies track attendance and claims by cut-off dates. Please have this feature available.

If I understand you correctly, what you need is something like:

Payroll period From 21 Jun 2025 to 20 Jul 2025, am I correct?

and this is for Payroll Processing purpose?

yes correct! For payroll, I will check staff attendance from 26th of previous month until 25th of current month. Without the custom date range filter, I’ll need to export two excel files to get that range records. It is troublesome.

Sorry, I am confused again with this:

Can you elaborate further what do you mean with 2 excel files? what excel files?

I think he is trying to say that currently he export 2 files to get the desired attendance records. for eg if Payroll period From 21 Jun 2025 to 20 Jul 2025, then he needs to export both June and July records.
Instead what he wants is the ability for him to choose the attendance data range; for eg From 21 Jun 2025 to 20 Jul 2025.

Oh, OK.

Noted with thanks.

@amjad Exactly, thank you for helping with the explanations.

@kapchew is this feature still under development?

This will take some time, as I am working on higher priority tasks now.
