Feature request; Roadmap

Hi
Can we have a something like a roadmap like in the picture attached. It does not have to be exactly like it but something similar.
Additionally, can you restrict us on commenting on the post of “HR.my Upcoming Features Todo List”. I think feature requests and discussions about it has to be made in a new post, and if it’s worth, then you can escalate/include it to in that “HR.my Upcoming Features Todo List”.
thanks

Sorry that I can’t give a roadmap like that. From time to time I have to work on spontaneous emergency tasks, such as change of policies related to App Store or Google Play that needs modifications to mobile app.

As I work alone, I am the only resource that could jump from normal task to emergency task, therefore giving a roadmap like that will leave me not much freedom and choice.

This sounds like a good suggestion. I have closed the topic for now, and will monitor if this really serves the purpose.

Yeah, I understand that roadmap is a bigger task. but can we make a simpler one. In which we can know at least a little bit about the upcoming features, and when to expect them.
Another idea is make two lists; 1 emergency tasks. 2 Normal tasks. In both of them you can set for each individual tasks [estimated time it will take], [time spent], [priority]
And I think it’s a good idea if we can vote for the items on ideas list. That way you would also know how many people are interested in a feature; you can, from time to time, reconsider the priority based on that as well.

Actually, there are polls conducted: Topics tagged poll

I agree, but committing myself to a timeline is just not possible, as already explained. I don’t want to let anyone down by promising something that I wanted to accomplish soon, but being pushed backward again and again due to misc tasks that pops up from time to time.

Additionally, I have also thought about freeing your time more. I believe your time must be utilized more on the program rather than trying to answer every question posted here. For that can we try to engage the community more in this forum to provide the help in solving the issues/problems.
I think we can have moderators or something like that who can invest some time in answering the questions. We can also collect come data about the users as well; like Years of experience in HR, Level of knowledge in Labour Law (of which country) etc. And based on these we can choose the moderators.
If we can find a way for the community to help each other, and the help is sufficient, I think we need to disable the “ask the developer” feature. So, all the questions will be directed to the forum members. If you wish you can also join the individual discussions if you have time or if there is a need for it. At the moment, I am also reluctant to answer a question, because most of them are posted as “ask the developer”.

Really appreciate your understanding.

However, from my observation, I think most users won’t be willing to spend time answering other users, though I wish I were wrong.

This is understandable, as this is not a hobbyist forum. Most of the users here are employees of some organisations. They are not supposed to do anything irrelevant to what they are paid for. After work, they would be too tired to linger on HR forum that does not bring any financial income to them.

I agree, personally for me also it would be difficult to spend much time in the forum. But I think that’s the only way forward. I have seen a similar forum, maanger.io, they have little bit more engagement there. i think we can also achieve a similar result. Imagine the burden that would be lifted from your shoulder even 1-2 people are active daily/every other day to answer questions. Let’s think positively.

Sure
