Attendance Feature & Questions - Geo-fencing, WiFi only, Enforcing Clock-In reminder, Earliest Start Time for all staff?

I have some questions about attendance:

  1. Will there be a Geo-fencing feature? (Staff can only clock-in from the specified location)

  2. Can we set Allowed Network and not just Allowed IP? (Staff can only clock-in via office Wi-Fi for example)

  3. Right now the “Mark as Absent” part seems like can only be done manually, which is requiring someone to go through the Clock-in every single day, and mark the ones missing individually and manually, is there a workaround or will there be an automated system to remind users to clock-in or automate the “mark as absent” part?

  4. Earliest Clock-In time - can we set an earliest clock-in time so that the working hours will start calculating from that point onwards yet not too early? For example working hours is from 8am-5pm, but my company allow some flexibility so if a staff come in at 9am, they will work until 6pm instead, but we do not allow staff coming in at 6am and leave at 3pm, so we want to reflect this rule in our clock-in system, could you advise on how to go about this?

  5. This is of a lower priority - but in the case of a missed clock-in or a missed clock-out, if admin or HR can edit a staff’s existing clock-in/out entry will be more efficient than deleting the old entry and creating a new entry, since the end result will be the same.

Yes, it’s manual now. Before the automated feature is implemented, you may actually use the Import feature to import Absent transactions for employees, it would be much easier.

This is not supported yet. If I understand your use case correctly, it means that even if a staff comes in at 6am, he/she will still need to wait until 8am in order to clock in?

This is already supported. Admin can ADD missed clock-in or out, but could NOT modify any clocking entry. To modify, you will need to delete the entire attendance record.

A follow-up question:

Regarding Break Time - it is mentioned that one of the options will automatically append an hour of break time into the entry, but I tried and it didn’t seem to work or perhaps I am doing something incorrectly, could you advise more about the break time functions? And is there a clock in/out function if we would like to have staff do clock in/out for break time too?
