It’s more for line managers who need to see how much leave each staff member who reports to them has left. ( not when approving leave) . Such as when a staff member leaves the line manager needs to see the number of days they had left or if they have to take holidays before a set date how many they have left they need to take
what would help is if a line manager could see a list of all the staff who report to them and how many days they left and maybe how many days they have taken etc ( see Attached)
Sounds reasonable. So only Entitlement, Taken and Balance needed in the report? As I didn’t see leave type in your report, not sure if you have already filtered by leave type for this sample report…
I have a use case. Line manager (HOD, supervisor, etc) is responsible for managing the leave/workforce. For eg. i have 5 workers, and at a given time i can send only 2 staff for leave. Imagine all 5 workers have annual leave balance of 30 days and it expires on 1 November. So before 1 November i need to send all the 5 staffs for 30 days of leave? That’s impossible?!! if i knew this info before, i can manage the leave plan and send them during the whole year without interrupting the daily operation.
Some staff are lazy, some delay the leaves deliberately, so that management will be forced to send them for leave as their leaves are expiring. This happens a lot during holiday seasons! First staff will check if he can take leave on normal route, if that fails, they will come and say leave is expiring!
